The Diploma in Management at Level 5 have been developed to conform to the requirements of the RQF, UK. The Diploma provide generic management skills for those planning to or working in a management role. The qualifications deliver the skills and knowledge that meet the needs of managers on a domestic and international platform.The ATHE Level 5 qualifications in Management provide much of the underpinning knowledge and understanding for the National Occupational Standards in Management and Leadership.
1. BUSINESS ORGANISATIONS IN A GLOBAL CONTEXT
- This unit aims to develop learners understanding of the issues organisations face operating within a global context. This understanding will allow learners to review the issues currently impacting on businesses.
2. FINANCE FOR MANAGERS
- This unit aims to introduce learners to practical accounting and financial techniques that are useful to managers in business organisations.
3. MANAGING COMMUNICATION
- This unit aims to develop knowledge and understanding of how communication takes place within and between organisations, the potential pitfalls and the benefits of good practice.
4. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- In this unit learners develop the knowledge and understanding of what motivates individuals and teams and use this to review people management strategies used in organisations. Learners will gain an understanding of leadership theories, motivational theories, the impact of structure and culture as well as other tools that can be used to empower people in the workplace.
5. RESEARCH PROJECT
- This unit aims to formulate a research specification on a chosen topic, implement the research project, evaluate and present the research findings.
6. RISK MANAGEMENT
- This unit aims to raise business risk awareness and develop skills to assess, monitor and control business risks. To develop an appreciation of the implications of business risks.
7. RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
- The aim of this unit is to provide an overview of the human and physical resources needed in a range of organisations, including those in the primary, service and manufacturing sectors, and provide an understanding of the impact of efficiency on the organisations. Learners will use this knowledge to review the effective use of resources within an organisation.
8. BUSINESS LAW
- This unit aims to develop knowledge of some of the main aspects of business law that the learner may encounter as a manager in a business.
Age: above 19 years old And
Academic Requirements: any one of the following:
1)Secondary School Year 5 with 3 passes;
2)High School Year 2 with 3 Passes;
3)ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Management/Business Administrative Management;
4)a recognized Diploma in Business fields
English Language requirements: Windsor Certificate in English Level 2 with a Pass;
Or pass the Windsor Entry English Test (obtained at least 50% of total mark)
