Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management
The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management (PDBM) program is aimed at executives with adequate working experience in a management position who looks for career development and personal advancement as well as the opportunity to further continue their studies.
The postgraduate consists of 8 modules:
1. Strategic Planning
The aim of this module is to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to develop an organisational strategic plan.
2. Organisational Behaviour
The aim of this unit is to help learners develop an understanding of how organisational behaviour impacts on an organisation’s business and operation.
3. Human Capital and Leadership Theories
This unit aims to help learners develop their own personal leadership and management skills in the context of the creation and achievement of organisational vision and strategic direction.
4. International Business Environment
This module aims to equip learners with the ability to explore the international business environment and to develop knowledge and understanding of how organisations respond.
5. Managing Organisational Change
This unit aims to enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills to build a culture of continuous improvement in an organisation. The learners will have the opportunity to develop the skills required to plan organisational change.
6. International Marketing
This unit aims to enables learners to understand the requirements of international marketing, in particular, the financial considerations in entering and operating in international markets. Learners will also be able to develop an international marketing strategy and understand the implications and requirements of international marketing communications
7. Financial Management
The learners will develop knowledge, understanding and skills that will enable them to analyse internal and publicly available financial information. This will help to inform strategic decision making.
8. Business Research Methods
The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to carry out research to meet the needs of strategic business management.
Minimum Age: 21 years old or above; AND
Academic:♦Bachelors Degree qualification in any subject from a recognized institution or equivalent, OR
♦Diploma of 3 years/Advanced Diploma in any fields, And at least 3 years’ management experiences will be considered on a case-by-case basis, OR
♦For those mature applicant (30 years old or above), with at least 8 years’ management experience but without academic qualification will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Language: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
