Syllabus<\/strong><\/div>\n

1. Business Statistics<\/p>\n

– This unit provides a better appreciation of statistics with the application of probability into hypotheses testing. This also includes topics like sampling distribution, confidence interval, simple correlation, regression analysis, etc.<\/p>\n

2. Business Law<\/p>\n

– This unit covers the basic concepts of the legal system in Singapore. It will discuss about the different components of business law including company law, contract law, agency law, and intellectual property law.<\/p>\n

3. Financial Accounting<\/p>\n

– This unit aims to enable students to understand financial accounting information deriving from all sources and acquire the ability to prepare accounting statements and data in accordance with basic accounting conventions and current accounting practice.<\/p>\n

4. Cost Accounting<\/p>\n

– This module aims to develop students\u2019 understanding of the advanced aspects of the processing of cost accounting information, how this can be used for the purposes of short-term planning, control and decision making within business organisations and the ability to apply these in business settings.<\/p>\n
