Curriculum<\/div>\n

The Diploma in Construction Management aims to provide foundation knowledge and business skills for industry practitioners and those who wish to purse better knowledge in the field of construction and management. It provides the knowledge of the infrastructure required by further study of the Higher Diploma in Construction Engineering Management. The Course is taught and assessed in English.<\/p>\n

The course is consist of five modules:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1.Building Construction Process<\/p>\n

– This module covers construction safety and regulations; construction machinery and operations; basement construction, tunnelling, high-rise building construction methods and processes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2. Building Drawing Knowledge<\/p>\n

– Upon successful completion, students will understand the concepts and grasp the basic skills in reading the drawings used in architectural engineering<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3. Business Law<\/p>\n

– Students will be prepared to apply the key legal elements in modern business environment, to analyse the legal consequences of daily business issues.
\n <\/p>\n

4. Architectural Decoration and Interface<\/p>\n

– Students are taught to understand the principles and methods of architecture constructions, and the decoration construction for buildings. <\/p>\n

5. Human Resource Management<\/p>\n

– Students will be prepared to deal with the HR and interpersonal issues in the real business and construction world.<\/p>\n

Entry Requirement<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

* above 17 years old<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

* Three Passes (Grade 6) in O Level for O Levels and Secondary 5,
\n* OR High School for Upper Secondary qualification. <\/p>\n

OR Applicant who is 30 years\u2019 old or above with 9 years\u2019 formal education and 8 years\u2019 work experience will be considered on case by case basis.<\/p>\n

* Language Requirement\uff1a9 years’ formal education taught in Mandarin Chinese OR GCE \u2018O\u2019 Level Passed Chinese subject (minimum C6).<\/p>\n
