Foundation Diploma for Business Studies (E-learning)
This programme helps students to gain basic knowledge and skills required for management. Students will also be able to gain confidence in communicating and the basic yet essential information technological skills like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, allowing them to increase their competencies in these areas. Formal presentation skills will also be taught to ensure that they know how to present and communicate their ideas appropriately, which is extremely important.
* At least 16 years old; and
Any of the requirements below:
- ‘O’ Level Pass in any 4 subjects
- complete 10 years of full time basic education
* Language Requirement:
IELTS Band Score 5.0 OR
Pass Windsor English Placement (obtain minimum 50%).

1. Fundamentals of Customer Relationship Management
-This module aims to provide students with a better understanding of the importance of customers and what customer relationship is. Students will know how to provide a high quality service that meets the customers’ needs and learn how to manage their relationships with customers via effective communication. They will be equipped with knowledge and skills about handling customer-related situations. Upon successful completion, student will understand how customer services contribute to organizational objectives; how to provide services which meet the customer needs; the factors that contribute to good relationship with customers; the problems faced in customer relationship.
2. Introduction to Hospitality
-This module aims to provide students with a basic understanding of the hospitality industry. They will know the factors that influence the industry and be equipped with the fundamental service skills required. Upon successful completion, learners are expected to: have an overview of the hospitality industry; understand the characteristics and factors that will affect the industry;understand the importance of service.
3. Introduction to Management
-This module aims to provide students with an understanding of the importance of managing a business and how to manage a business. They will also gain knowledge on the major role sin business organizations and fundamental management skills and practices. Upon successful completion, learners are expected to understand the nature and importance of business management; understand the basics of business management;know the business objectives and the perspective of stakeholders; understand the major roles in business organizations.
4. Academic Presentation Skills
– In this module aims to help students to master the basics of software like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required for presentations. Students will also learn how to speak formally with appropriate body languages. This module will provide them with an understanding of the factors that contribute to a good presentation. Upon successful completion, learners are expected to understand how to use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; understand how to present ideas and speak clearly and formally, understand how to use and read body language effectively.
5. Introduction to Business Communication
-This module aims to help students develop professional writing and speaking skills, allowing them to be confident in delivering clear messages to their audience. Students will learn basic written communication skills through crafting business messages like memo and emails as well as spoken communication skills through presentations, meetings, and discussions. Upon completion of the unit, learners are expected to understand professional vocabulary that can be used for communication; understand the value, dispositions and communication style through their personal and professional communication; understand how to prepare formal communication according to audience.
