Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is specifically targeted at the working people in mechanical and electrical industry or those who are interested in the knowledge. The learners can improve their knowledge, skills and qualifications by taking this course. This is a part time course. The lecturers selected are experienced in the industry, with good communication skills. Our courses enable learners to get knowledge, vision, as will as friends in the journey of learning.

Entry Requirement

 

* above 17 years old

 

* The candidate must pass three GCE ‘O’ Level subjects

OR equivalent qualifications;
OR Applicant who is 30 years’ old with at least 8 years’ work experience will be considered.

 

* Language Requirement for English-taught class:candidate must pass the English Language Test OR Equivalent.

 

* Language Requirement for Chinese-taught class:GCE ‘O’ Level Passed Chinese subject (minimum C6) or equivalent.

The diploma in Logistics Management course consists of 5 modules:

 

1. Analytical Methods for Engineers and Principles

– This unit mainly studies the basic concepts of circuits, voltage and electric power analysis, circuit components and their volt-ampere characteristics, circuit measurement, resistance network analysis, etc.

 

2. Electrical Equipment and Safety

– This unit mainly studies electrical safety knowledge, including AC circuit power, transformer principle, three-phase power, residential power wiring, grounding and safety, etc.

 

3. Electrical power systems

– This unit mainly studies the basic concepts of power systems, building power supply and distribution systems and load calculations, short-circuit current and its calculation methods.

 

4. Mechatronics

– This unit mainly studies the basic knowledge of power transformers, electrical equipment in building power supply and distribution systems, and line design of building power supply and distribution systems.

 

5. Electrical power distribution protection

– The contents of this unit include distribution protection devices, relay protection of power lines, transformer relay protection, secondary circuits of power supply and distribution systems, and high-voltage circuit breakers.
